Alpha-tocopherol, tocopherol sorbate, tocopherol acetate, tocopherol linoleate, and similar names are often found in cosmetic products.

Why is it important in skincare?

It is an age-defying antioxidant that repairs skin cells exposed to oxidative damage.

It has been shown to accelerate wound healing and be effective in scar (scar) treatment.

It is photo-protective (protective against sun damage), and research has shown that when used under sunscreen along with Vitamin C, this property increases by 4 times.

It provides moisture to the skin. The likelihood of causing allergies and irritation is very low. Studies have shown its effectiveness even at low concentrations (0.2%). It should not be preferred by oily and acne-prone skin. It is a good option for mature and dry skin care.
